Plain-language definitions of the terms you'll see in Coco HR.
Active applicant — An applicant who is active during a given month. Active applicants are metered at $0.50 per applicant per month. See Billing and pricing.
AI Score — The overall result Coco HR's AI assigns to a completed assessment, shown as a large tile at the top of the report.
Anti-cheat report — The proctoring section of an assessment report: device, browser, OS, network details, VPN detection, and pass/warn signals (camera, microphone, fullscreen, tab-switching, cursor), plus recordings and snapshots. It's evidence for human review, not an automated verdict.
Applicant / Candidate — A person being considered for a job. You can add them directly or let them apply through a public link.
Apply link — The public link for a job, https://hr.cocolevio.com/apply/{jobId}. Anyone with it can submit an application.
Assessment — The test a candidate takes and the AI-scored report it produces.
Assessment link — A candidate's personal link to take their assessment, https://hr.cocolevio.com/assessment/{applicantId}.
Async video submission — A candidate's recorded video answer, metered at $2.00 each.
Company Admin — The account owner. Sees everything, including Settings, billing, integrations, security, and API management.
Company workspace — Your organization's space in Coco HR, holding all your jobs, templates, applicants, and reports.
Copilot — The full-screen "Cocolevio Copilot" AI chat that answers questions about your data and navigates you around the app. It's read-only — it doesn't change data.
Coding challenge — An assessment question where the candidate writes code in an in-browser editor. Evaluated by AI.
Custom Questions — Questions you add to a template from a Question Bank, alongside the AI-generated ones.
Draft / Open / Closed — The three statuses a job can have. Draft isn't yet collecting applicants; Open is live; Closed is finished.
Free Forever — A plan where AI usage is free because you bring your own AI provider key. Other metering (storage, applicants, video) still applies.
Free trial — A 14-day trial with full access and no credit card required.
Greenhouse integration — A connection to the Greenhouse applicant tracking system that syncs jobs and candidates and lets you export data.
Meets Standard / Partial / Inadequate — The per-question score badges. Meets Standard is 60% or higher; Partial is partway; Inadequate is below expectations.
MCQ (multiple choice question) — A question with four options and one correct answer. Auto-graded.
Metering — Counting your usage (assessments, video, storage, applicants) to calculate your monthly bill.
Pay-as-you-go (PAYG) — Usage-based billing. You pay monthly for what you used.
Partner API key — A single API key (managed under API Management) for programmatic access. Generating a new key replaces the old one.
Practice assessment / practice questions — An optional warm-up round before the scored questions, included in a template by default.
Proctoring — The recording and monitoring during an assessment (webcam, screen, snapshots, and action flags) that supports integrity review.
Question Bank — A source of reusable questions you can add to a template as custom questions.
Re-assess — Re-runs the AI evaluation on a candidate's existing answers, producing a fresh report.
Skill chips — The skills Coco HR extracts from a job with AI. They drive assessment question generation.
SSO (single sign-on) — Signing in with your Google or Microsoft account instead of a password.
Subjective question — An open-ended question the candidate answers by typing or speaking, evaluated by AI.
Template — The reusable blueprint for an assessment: which skills are tested, how many questions of each type, timing, and answer options. Attached to a job.
TTS (text-to-speech) — An option that reads each question aloud to the candidate.
Two-factor authentication (2FA / MFA) — An extra sign-in step using a 6-digit code from an authenticator app.
Verdict — A candidate's overall standing: Pending, Selected, or Rejected. You can filter applicants by verdict.
WebRTC IP / location — Network details captured during an assessment and shown in the anti-cheat report.
