Post and Manage Jobs

Create a job, publish it, share its apply link, and keep it up to date.

A Job is the role you're hiring for. It holds the details candidates see and the skills that drive AI question generation. This guide covers creating, editing, publishing, and sharing a job.

Before you start

You need to be signed in to Coco HR. Anyone on your team can create and manage jobs.

Create a job

  1. Go to Jobs and select New Job (or use Post a Job from the Dashboard Quick Actions).
  2. The job form is a 3-step wizard.

Step 1 — Basic Info

  • Job Title (required).
  • Location, Requirements, and Description (optional).
  • To draft a description automatically, select AI Generate. Coco HR writes one from your title and requirements. Edit it, or select Regenerate for a different version. You can always write or paste your own instead.

Select Next to continue.

Step 2 — Template

Choose an existing assessment template to attach now, or select decide later and attach one afterwards. You can build a template first and come back — see Build assessment templates.

Step 3 — Review & Publish

Review the details, then either:

  • Save as draft — keeps the job in Draft status (not yet collecting applicants), or
  • Publish job — sets the job to Open.

Manage jobs from the list

The Jobs list shows every job with these columns:

ColumnMeaning
TitleThe job name (search by title using the search box)
ApplicantsHow many candidates are linked to the job
AssessedHow many have completed an assessment
StatusDraft, Open, or Closed
CreatedWhen the job was created

For each row you can View, Edit, or Delete the job. There are no bulk actions today — you manage jobs one at a time.

Work with a single job

Open a job to reach its detail page, where you can:

  • Change the status with the dropdown: Active (open), Draft, or Closed.
  • Attach or change the template — the picker lets you Select existing or Create new. (Creating a new template from here pre-fills this job and attaches it automatically when you save.)
  • Share Link — copies the job's public apply link, https://hr.cocolevio.com/apply/{jobId}. Post it on job boards, your careers page, or send it directly. Anyone with the link can apply.
  • Edit the job details.
  • Review the AI-extracted skill chips — the skills Coco HR pulled from your job. These drive assessment question generation.
  • See the Applicants table for this job.

The Share Link button on the job detail page is how candidates apply themselves. When someone opens it they upload a resume, enter their name, email, and phone, complete a captcha, and submit. New applicants then appear under the job. To invite a specific person to take an assessment instead, see Add and invite candidates.

Close a job

When you've filled the role, open the job and set its status to Closed using the status dropdown. Closed jobs stay in your list for reference and stop appearing in the "open jobs" pickers used when adding applicants or templates.

Tips

  • Attach a template before you invite candidates — the assessment link needs an assessment to run.
  • Review the skill chips after saving. If they don't look right, edit the job's requirements and description to sharpen them.
