User guide
This guide covers the moves you'll make constantly: getting around, finding things, editing records, and the daily rhythm of a sales user. For first-time setup, start with the Quickstart.
Navigating the sidebar
The left sidebar lists every workspace object and the Coco CRM additions. Dashboard gives you the KPI overview; Email Campaigns, Leads Group, LinkedIn Leads, Google Places Leads, and Deals hold the sales-engagement tools; Companies, People, Opportunities, Tasks, and Notes are the core CRM. Folders expand to reveal their pages — for example Email Campaigns contains the campaign manager, Campaign Logs, and Connect Email.
Search
Press Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows) anywhere to open search. Type a company, person, deal, or lead name and jump straight to the record — it's the fastest way to move around. See Keyboard shortcuts for the rest.
Creating and editing records
Click the + button on any object page to create a record, or ask the AI assistant to do it ("create a company called Acme"). Edit fields inline in table views by clicking a cell, or open the record page for the full picture. Relations (like linking a Person to a Company) are set from the record page or directly in a relation column.
Views and filters
Every object page is a view — table or kanban — and each view saves its own filters, sorts, and grouping. Use filters to carve out working sets like "leads with score above 60" or "deals closing this month", and save them as named views your whole team can use. Details in Views and pipelines.
The right-side panel
Clicking a record opens it with a right-side panel showing its timeline, tasks, notes, and related records — your context while working a deal or lead. The AI assistant chat also lives in a right-side panel, opened from the top-right, so you can operate the CRM without leaving your current page.
Where settings live
| Setting | Location |
|---|---|
| Campaign app keys (SMTP defaults, AI provider keys, Google Maps key) | Settings → Apps → Email Campaigns — see AI configuration |
| API keys and webhooks | Settings → API & Webhooks — see API and webhooks |
| Members, roles, and permissions | Settings → Members — see Members and roles |
| Personal email/calendar sync | Settings → Accounts — see Calendar and email sync |
Secret values (passwords, API keys) are stored encrypted and never shown again after saving.
A typical day for a sales user
- Check the Dashboard — campaigns sent, leads by source, recent activity. Anything on fire?
- Review new leads — open LinkedIn Leads and Google Places Leads for anything new since yesterday.
- Run validation and research — hit Validate and Research on pending LinkedIn leads; Analyze All on new Google Places leads. AI fills in intent, scores, and drafted outreach while you do other work.
- Push the good ones — leads that validate or score well go to their lead list with Push to CRM.
- Send a campaign — build or reuse a template in Email Campaigns, target a lead list, pick your Send From account, Preview, Send.
- Track the results — watch Campaign Logs for failures and follow up on replies; promote warm conversations into Companies, People, and Deals.
